Mandrake waiting to be pulled out by this medieval dog - linocut print

from €35.70

Mandrake - used for insomnia and infertility. It is said that the root screams like hell when you try to get it, so people used to tie it with rope and give the rope to a dog and they would run for cover from the scream. I added the symbol of divine femininity because of it being used for infertility.

Printed on Fabriano Unica 250 gsm Crema Paper with black Cranfield Caligo Safewash Ink.
